Painted Shores: A Haiku

This haiku was inspired by my recent visit to Barbados. The beaches were incredible albeit littered with massive amounts of seaweed in some areas. These photos were taken at River Bay in Saint Lucy. This inlet was hit hard by the recent influx of seaweed. The water is no longer swimmable due to the sheer amount of it. However, with shifting tides you can still get glimpses at the crystal clear water beneath all the debris – windows into the bay’s true beauty.
