Houses of worship are pretty cool. Sometimes it’s the architecture that makes them captivating. Other times, it’s the warm sense of community that draws you in. During my travels, I’ve gotten to see houses of worship of all different shapes, sizes, and communities. This post is a running log of notable sites I’ve had the opportunity to visit. Check in from time to time for more little houses on the planet!
This little mosque is in Barbados. It’s located off the beaten path (AKA a bumpy, unpaved road) on a small farm. The building itself wasn’t more than a glorified portable. However, the people there welcomed us as if we were old friends.The Brick Lane Jamme Masjid is located in Tower Hamlets, London. While taking a stroll in the neighborhood, we would’ve missed it if not for the metalwork minaret which caught our eyes. Fun fact: prior to functioning as a mosque, this building used to be a church and then a synagogue.The Great Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba is a true beauty and a sight to behold. Today, it still functions as a church.
