The Castle of the Christian Monarchs was a detour after visiting the Mezquita of Córdoba.

The grounds are immaculate and the castle offers breathtaking views of the city and the Andalusian hills. The Alcázar was a particularly fun visit because I wasn’t familiar with it prior to going there. It was an experience unfettered by expectations which made it more memorable.
